I have followed creative pursuits throughout my life. From taking art at high school through to night classes and workshops. I have studied and taken classes in acrylics, watercolours, oils, pastels, mixed media and drawing over the years. I spent a year learning different techniques at a local art school in 2013.

Other creative pursuits I have followed are gaining a diploma in fashion design when I left school and a certificate in stage one interior design in 2012.

In September 2021 I completed a 12 week online art business course. This taught me how to build my own website, use social media effectively, photograph and market my works.

I have exhibited in many local exhibitions and sold a lot of my works online over the past 12 years.

I paint in a contemporary way and my artworks reflect what I wish to express at the time I paint them. I have painted many subjects and styles over the years but I now focus on florals, a subject I absolutely love.

My ideas for collections are developed from my imagination, from my emotions and feelings, from looking around at nature and from my love of flowers. My ideas are constantly changing and evolving and I never limit my imagination, I just go with it.

I love to study the floral form. I work with acrylics and combine rich colour, soft layering and refined composition to create pieces that are both vibrant and serene. My distinctive style blends realism with a modern approach, inviting viewers to connect with the natural world through colour, light and emotion.

I have also painted a lot of birdlife over the years, I especially love our native NZ Tui. So I will still add the odd birdlife painting in there from time to time as I probably wouldn’t be able to help myself. These have always proved popular with my buyers too.

I create from my Auckland home studio where each painting is thoughtfully developed as a unique and timeless work of art.

Outside of painting I am a wife, mother of two and part-time receptionist. I go to the gym and Pilates each week, my treats are a nice glass of wine, my morning coffee and movie nights with my family.
